I went diving on 03/21 with Ken from Rainbow scuba. Ken came to pick me up at my hotel at 7:15 after exchanging a few emails during the prior week. We set out on this nice catamaran. Lucky for me Ken was MY dive buddy. We headed out to the wreck and he suggested we gear up and be first in the water to avoid a traffic jam on the decent. Good call! Since this was my first dive in the Pacific, I was really excited about the visibility since diving in the waters off of Long Island, NY is only ~20' on a decent day. Ken guided me into the wreck and we poked around. There were sea turtles and morays living in the wreck. Ken really knew the neat points to explore and took some FREE pictures of me ( http://sports.webshots.com/album/570740575vAsPSW ) That alone was worth the price of the dive. The highlight of the dive was playing with an octopus that Ken persuaded to come out of hiding. It shot ink and attempted to arm wrestle me. The only tropical diving that I have done is in Florida and I never got to experience the sea life that I did on this trip. If you're going to dive Hawaii, check Ken out. You will be very satisfied. Ken, if you read this, make sure that if you come to NYC to look me up! The best steak in NY (Peter Luger) is on me. Thanks for making that dive the highlight of my trip to Hawaii.
